Learn the basics of flavor building in this beef stew and Hungarian dessert cooking class

Nothing says comfort food like a good bowl of Beef Stew. Cool fall days, chilly winters... or just when you need a hug in a bowl.  This cooking class is great for anyone looking to perfect traditional stews or simply develop their signature dish that reminds them of the family home.

Transport yourself to Eastern Europe to learn this comfort food classic with Chef Agnes video calling from her home outside Budapest, Hungary.  Together, you'll make classic Hungarian-style Beef Stew filled with onions and peppers. While your stew is simmering away, you'll learn how to make quick weeknight noodles, Nokedli, a Spätzle style noodle that takes minutes to make! As a side, you'll enjoy Uborkasaláta, a cucumber salad that will be a regular side dish in your kitchen - and for dessert, Császámorzsa! This fluffy pancake dessert was the former emperor's favourite (and will possibly become yours too!).

We booked this as a gift for family's Hungarian heritage and really enjoyed our time with Chef Agnes! The company made us feel very prepared with excellent communication to help us get comfortable with this new experience! The food was delicious, great Goulash and Walnut Strudel! Chef Aggie was very easy to work with, easy to see and hear, and she shared a lot of cultural knowledge about Hungary and its food. Would recommend this to any level cook interested in a cultural… See More

My wife and I just completed a Hungarian cooking class and LOVED it! From the point of purchase to the final taste test of the dish we made with Chef Aggie, the experience was top notch. The Kitchen Assistant was so nice and accessible, and ensured that we were ready in advance of the actual cooking session. She helped us located hard-to-find spices in our hometown and checked in before and after. I can't recommend this enough - we hope to take another class down the road!
