Taste the holiday tradition of Beigli two ways! Make both Walnut and Poppyseed Beigli in a cooking class led by a chef live from Hungary

One of Hungary's most significant contributions to the culinary world is their amazing desserts. And this loved sweet treat is no exception. Found throughout Hungary, and especially at Christmas, Beigli will become a new tradition in your family home. During the holidays, bakeries throughout the country fill their windows with these sweet rolls, typically filled with walnut or poppyseeds.  But the real art to Beigli is achieving a perfect shiny, crackly and marbled mahogany colored crust.

In your private baking class, you'll make two types of Beigli, one filled with walnuts the other with poppyseeds. While baking you'll whip up some quick cottage cheese donuts! Your kitchen will smell wonderful and perhaps you'll even see some good fortune after your class. After all, there's a beautiful old belief in Hungary that poppyseeds bring good luck.

Chef Agnes will video call into your home from her kitchen in Budapest for a private cooking class. Together, you'll share stories while you bake this holiday favorite together. It's a day you'll never forget.

20 minute Kitchen Prep Session with a Personal Kitchen Assistant who will get you ready! Includes teaching about ingredients and answering any questions you have as you get ready for your private cooking experience

Great time with Chef Agnes learning how to cook traditional Hungarian goulash and apple strudel. Great anniversary present for us. Give it a try, you’ll enjoy the time and have some great recipes to keep afterwards!

We booked this as a gift for family's Hungarian heritage and really enjoyed our time with Chef Agnes! The company made us feel very prepared with excellent communication to help us get comfortable with this new experience! The food was delicious, great Goulash and Walnut Strudel! Chef Aggie was very easy to work with, easy to see and hear, and she shared a lot of cultural knowledge about Hungary and its food. Would recommend this to any level cook interested in a cultural… See More

My wife and I just completed a Hungarian cooking class and LOVED it! From the point of purchase to the final taste test of the dish we made with Chef Aggie, the experience was top notch. The Kitchen Assistant was so nice and accessible, and ensured that we were ready in advance of the actual cooking session. She helped us located hard-to-find spices in our hometown and checked in before and after. I can't recommend this enough - we hope to take another class down the road!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband who is an avid cook! He chose Chef Agnes from Hungary! We had a wonderful experience. Agnes is warm individual and great teacher. Throughout our session she shared stories and history. It was truly much more than a cooking lesson! We shared our creations with friends with a Zoom Dinner Party later that night!!!
