A flavour punch to any protein. This spice rub from Chef Gason is so versatile and will bring New Orleans to your table.
Chef Gason's "Off the Hook" Creole Spice Rub
Makes about 1/2 cup
1 Tbsp Sweet Paprika
1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Onion Powder
1 Tbsp ground Cayenne Pepper
1 Tbsp dried Oregano
1 Tbsp dried Thyme
1 Tbsp dried, minced Cilantro
1 Tbsp freshly ground Black Pepper
Salt to taste
Combine all in a small bowl and mix well.
Use this rub on your favourite protein - shrimp, steak, chicken - it's great on anything! Squeeze a little lime on top for an added citrus twist.
Store spice rub in an airtight container to keep fresh.
