Traditional New Orlean's Hurricane Recipe

This Hurricane recipe is perfect for any Mardi Gras party!

Whether you're celebrating Fat Tuesday or celebrating just any Tuesday, this traditional New Orlean's Hurricane is sweet and deadly! It's also one of our favourite drinks to pair with some Gumbo or a Spicy Jambalaya. Put on some jazz band music and transport to NOLA for the day.

Traditional Hurricane Recipe

~Serves 1

2 oz Light Rum

2 oz Dark Rum

2 oz Passion Fruit Juice

1 oz Orange Juice

½ oz Fresh Lime or Lemon Juice

1 Tablespoon Simple Syrup

1 Tablespoon Grenadine

Orange slices and Cherries

Combine the ingredients and shake in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour into a Hurricane glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice, drink and get ready!

Jambalaya Cooking Class

Video conference Chef Gason Nelson into your home. He'll teach you how to cook a traditional Jambalaya plus two more dishes - in a private cooking class. It's one of our most popular cooking classes!
