Traditional Mexican food is a world treasure. Protected by UNESCO, Mexican cuisine is incredibly diverse from north to south, from coast to land, and between communities. This Vegetarian Taco class celebrates the vastness of true Mexican cuisine, vegetarian style.
In this cooking class, you'll master tortilla making two ways. Whether you prefer corn or flour tortillas, you'll learn the art of making them at home, and once you've tasted fresh tortillas, you will never want to buy pre-made again. You'll fill your tacos with two traditional vegetarian fillings, one with smoky roasted poblano peppers and sweet corn, the other deeply savory with zucchini and tomatoes. Both fillings will become a staple on your dinner table, with simple ingredients that burst with flavor. And last, but certainly not least, you'll travel to the state of Veracruz to taste a Mexican salsa made with chilis and peanuts that will surprise and delight you. This new flavor will have you licking your plate.

Meet The Chef
Chef Andres

Chef Andres comes from a long line of culinary experts, being the third generation of caterers in his family. His exposure to the food world began at an early age, and after working his way up from washing dishes to the kitchen, he discovered his passion for cooking. At 17, he pursued his studies in France at Lycée Hotelier Jean Baptiste Simeón-Chardin. After completing his studies, he returned to Mexico and graduated from the Culinary Institute of Mexico (ICUM).
Throughout his career, Chef Andres has worked alongside some of the top chefs in Mexico, honing his skills under their mentorship. In 2015, he joined the prestigious Gary Danko restaurant team in San Francisco, where he managed various roles in the kitchen. Upon returning to Mexico, he founded Cocina Colmillo, offering pop-up dinners and restaurant consulting services.

PRIVATE CLASS
*The base price of most classes is $369 which allows 2 participants in the same kitchen. Each additional person in your kitchen thereafter is an additional $50 USD.
